SOEKARNO Award & "Langen Gita Putra Sang Fajar" Colossal Performance

The Star of Soekarno - 29 Mei 2011 Plenari Hall JHCC

Bung Karno University (UBK) conferred the "The Star of Soekarno Award" to Prof. Dr. Ing BJ Habibie, former President of the Republic of Indonesia. This award was given to national and international figures who are considered to have contributed greatly to the development of Soekarno's big idea in science, humanity, peace and the attention and contribution to the nation. Same award previously also been given in 2001 to the 12 world leaders, including Dr. Sun Yat Sen (Chinese nationalist leader), Ho Chi Minh (Vietnamese folk movement leader), and Kim Il Sung (Korean development fighters).
The awarding was located at Plenary HAll on May 29 and attended by 3500 invitees from Bung Karno University as well as Dr Rizal Ramli, Surya Paloh, Admiral (Ret.) Bernard Kent Sondakh, Prof. Din Syamsuddin, Otto Hasibuan, Guruh Soekarno Putra, also cultural, religious figures, political figures and government, and representatives of friendly countries.
The event enlivened with colossal performance of "Langen Gita Putra Sang Fajar", the story Bung Karno's life journey, Son of the Dawn, People's Tongue Connector and Great Leader of the Revolution - the dynamics of the Indonesian revolution.
